Menace & Woe

Was your life truly empty
when you filled your cup
with menace and woe?
Deciding to let go
of your faith in mankind?

Were you blind when you looked back
at your past?
So full of convictions that make you
the prisoner you can't see.

Fake a rage over the petty!
Throw the food into the air!
Some animal you've become
when cornered and full of fear
by the monster you've been for years!
That's why you avoid a direct look into the mirror!

Call me Karma when the cards fall on your soul!

Happy days gone away
sold for the cost of a child
who didn't know how to play...
Just stay with me in silence
for the wind has yet to truly blow.
And we'll be alright come tomorrow,
As long as you don't let me go!
