The Other Side of the Sun
I thought I saw you yesterday,
Carrying the sun over the hill,
Waving from the oceanfront
amongst the purple foaming swill.
I know that you were laughing,
As you dove into the sea,
For you are still the child that I used to be,
That little girl by God's wishing well,
In some faded memory.
I thought I heard your voice today,
It sounded far off; like in some lonesome valley.
Sounded like you were calling for the rain to come and play
Laughing and romping where the shadows lay
~silent and solemn in the heat of the day~
...On the other side of the sun
Where you wait for me
Kala Rains
